Alistdair

Wilson-Gough

Alistdair Wilson Gough is a founder partner of 50 International and 50 Great Britain. His professional career spans decades in the provision of tax planning and structuring for clients both in the UK and abroad. With excellent relationships with a number of barristers, Alistdair has a breadth of experience in searching opportunities to structure financial assets to minimise tax exposure by means of an extensive range of structures, corporate entities and instruments to address a broad range of taxes including Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and IHT planning opportunities including the complex needs for the Non-Domiciled. In any presented case Alistdair can discuss a client’s exact situation to provide certainty that their needs can be met before work commences.

He has also co-ordinated strategic advice and overseen the implementation of a very broad range of issues to address the complex matters of individuals and families in both the UK and abroad across multiple jurisdictions.
 
Alistdair is able to help families and individuals make informed decisions from restructuring family wealth to minimizing the impact of taxes and geo-politics on family estates.

Richard

Clement

Richard Clement, worked in his own Families Office specialising in Supply Chain, before moving into a listed global tech business for a number of years. Following this, time spent in two large global Family Offices has provided contacts in multi jurisdiction and multi asset classes. Richard has also set up and ran businesses working with family offices and family businesses consulting on both financial and human capital across the globe.

In 50 Richard’s focus is to develop senior relationships globally and act as a first point of contact for potential new clients and to understand and convey to the team the key elements that require addressing.

Peter Birgbauer

Peter Birgbauer is a Business Development director with an emphasis in tech and financial services and a particular strength in North America having studied in the US.  He has 15+ years of experience in financial services (investment banking and asset management) and management consultancy across a broad range of sectors including technology. In these sectors he has experience working with early and growth stage companies as well as large multinational Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Peter has governmental experience having worked for a US State Department initiative in Southeast Asia. Peter has a BA from Williams College, a MBA from Santa Clara University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.

Peter’s work at 50 revolves around business development as well as overall case management execution and strategic client advisory. 

Montserrat

Valverde Franco

Montserrat Valverde is the practice manager for 50 International.

 

She has a broad range of international work experience having originally started her career as an engineer working on large energy projects across the UK, Spain, and Australia.  She has been in the private client space for over 5 years now and works directly with the Managing Partner of 50 for whom she provides executive administrative support.  Additionally, Montserrat supports business development and marketing efforts and serves as a key point person for project managing client work.

 

She has Electronics and Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Oviedo (Spain) as well as a MA from the University of Westminster in London.

Valverde Franco

Montserrat Valverde Franco obtained an MA in International  Liaison and Communication from Westminster University in London in 2017, and an Electronics and Electrical Engineering Degree from University of Oviedo (Spain) in 2000. 

With a background in engineering, start-ups, entrepreneurship and family office, Montserrat’s impressive career has spanned a wide range of skills over several decades.
 
As the practice manager for family office & private client, she works with the founder partner of 50, where she provides executive administration support with the complex needs of the high net worth including taxation and estate and asset structuring.

Hart

Barry Hart is an accountant with nearly 40 years’ experience working in senior Financial and Company Secretarial roles across a variety of businesses and sectors, including Banking, Financial Services, Forensic Accounting, Commodity Broking, Engineering and Professional services.

Barry produces Financial Statements for Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships and Self-Assessment and the filing of returns to HMRC and the statutory requirements for Companies House.

Nick Alexander

Nick brings in-depth knowledge of risk management, compliance and strategic planning for exceptional results.
30 years international experience in governance, risk and compliance within investment banking, hedge funds, private equity and the software industry.

Advised hedge funds on multi asset SPC structures, where functions included senior regulatory oversight (UK-FSA, Cayman-CMA, and Jersey – JFSC); extensive marketing; legal; tax and trading / implementation strategies. 

​

Has worked extensively in South East Asia, Middle East and Europe, was head of risk for a private equity fund and advised multinational corporates and family offices, being responsible for due diligence and risk management of investment opportunities. 

​

Has held senior cyber security positions and has deep knowledge of data protection laws and technology, having been Chief Technology Officer for an Investment company.
